Jace Morgan

Born and raised in northern Indiana, Jace’s journey is rooted not in traditional athletic pathways, but in adversity, introspection, and an unrelenting desire to understand how far the human body and mind can go when aligned with meaning. Over the past decade, he has become known for undertaking ambitious, self-supported endurance projects that push physical limits while telling deeply human stories.

Jace is best known for completing Lap the Lake, a historic ultra-distance swim around Lake Wawasee, becoming the first person to swim the full shoreline of the lake. The project required months of preparation, multiple daily training sessions, and a carefully coordinated crew, all while balancing family life and professional commitments. More than a physical feat, the swim became a symbol of resilience, community belief, and the power of shared purpose.

Following that achievement, Jace announced his next major expedition, Follow the Flow, an endurance paddle journey tracing the water from Lake Wawasee through Indiana’s rivers to Lake Michigan. The project blends exploration, environmental education, and community involvement, inviting others to join sections of the route while raising awareness about watershed connections and conservation.

Beyond endurance expeditions, Jace is a lifelong athlete with experience across running, swimming, cycling, lifting, and hybrid training. He has competed and won age-group titles in multiple endurance events, coached clients across strength, running, and mental resilience, and built a reputation for blending discipline with empathy in his coaching philosophy.

Jace is also the author of Beyond the Buoy, a memoir-style reflection on endurance, identity, and what happens when the pursuit of meaning goes deeper than the pursuit of finish lines. His writing is raw, immersive, and grounded in lived experience, often drawing from moments of isolation, doubt, and transformation. He is currently working on additional books and guided journals focused on personal growth, legacy, and self-reflection.

At the heart of Jace’s work is a belief that movement can be a powerful tool for healing. Openly sharing his experiences with depression, anxiety, and internal struggle, he uses storytelling, training, and adventure to help others believe they are capable of more than they think.

When he’s not training or creating, Jace is a husband and father who values family, community, and living life intentionally. He continues to build projects that invite people not just to watch, but to participate, believing that the strongest achievements are never done alone.
